Welcome to Keilor Views Primary School a school where learning comes first in a safe and collaborative learning environment.  Keilor Views Primary School (KVPS) is located in the suburb of Keilor Downs with an enrolment of 449 students from diverse backgrounds. Keilor Views Primary School officially opened in 2010 as a result of a merger between Keilor Downs Primary School and Calder Rise Primary School. KVPS is located on the former Keilor Downs Primary School site established over 100 years ago. The school has been through a process of regeneration including the refurbishment of the Administration building, 10 classrooms and the construction of 6 additional classrooms, a library and an outdoor sports facility. There are designated STEM, Visual and Performing Arts, and PE spaces.  

Keilor Views Primary School has transitioned to the Victorian Curriculum in the last 2 years. The school is an inclusive educational setting using evidence-based, researched proven practices. In 2017, the school became a lead school in the adoption of the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) curriculum for South Western Victorian Region. Classroom programs are supported by Specialist programs which include: Physical Education, The Arts, LOTE, and the introduction of STEM in 2017. The School has made a significant investment in the purchasing of digital technology resources to support learning. Additional learning programs comprise of a P-6 swimming program, inter-school sports, SEAL pups, camps, incursions and excursions and student leadership programs. Our focus in the area of student well-being and engagement includes lunchtime social skills activities to create a positive and engaging environment for all students.

Keilor Views Primary School has high expectations of all stakeholders in the learning process with a strong emphasis on activating authentic student voice. The student leadership team work collaboratively with staff and the Principal Class team to provide feedback on areas of assessment and reporting, curriculum and school pride. Staff work together in Professional Learning Teams and Communities of Practice, to build teacher capacity supported by our school based coaching and mentoring program.
